Some take it seriously. Some bid it farewell just after the clock strikes twelve. Some call it a Second Chance to Dream with Eyes Open. New Year Resolution — no one can deny having made some.
People change with time, so do their aspirations. Seriously taken, New Year Resolution is an opportunity to gauge our goals. For the adventurous souls, it is the opportunity to tickle a funny bone or to try something bold.
1. Look Where You Stand – 
Made loads of resolutions last New Year’s Eve and abandoned them midway? Accomplish the Incomplete. 
Make it worth a second shot, give it another chance! Renew your spunk and start over again, only this time with more fortitude and gut. Pull yourself from nowhere to 'now here'.
2. Quit an Addiction – 
'If it does no good, then it can do no harm' has been proven wrong over and over again. You might want to agree with us on this, for ex. Addictions, real bad ones. Conceiving in your mind that you'll get over it is the first big step. Make up your mind. If needed, seek help of support groups or professionals. If you have the will, you shall find the way.
3. Fit in Fitness – 
Keep exercising and secure a future with fewer trips to the doctor. Start one day at time. Setting strict targets result in quicker de-motivation.
Select a regime you can stick to. Build it up as you go along. A group activity may add the element of fun. Lose some flab and get yourself in good shape.
4. Wowed By Wanderlust –
Get more stamps on that Passport of yours! Pick up your back-packs, cross oceans & leap boundaries. Indulge in new experiences and cultures. Consider including a fund for your trotting in your annual budget. Travelling is an experience you wont regret. Also collecting souvenir is fun.
5. Relive Your Childhood –
Bring back the simplicity in life; dance in the rain, jump in a puddle, lick a Popsicle – just be carefree. Appreciate the little things around you & cherish every moment of life. For once stop time, stare, reflect and smile. Bring out your inner child. 
6. De-clutter the Accumulated Junk –
Life will be more organized with the extras gone — donate them to charity. Organize a garage sale, recycle-reuse-renovate and give your old junk a new form. Help people in need by donating clothes and things of every day use that would otherwise go to waste.
7. Realistic Resolutions –
Instead of weaving dreams in the air, make a resolution that would have significance in and add a meaning to your life. Make a promise that you can keep. Unkept promises hinder growth. Dream it, but also do it. 
8. Healthy Hogging –
Think before you put any morsel in your mouth. Occasional indulgence should be there. Pamper yourself with cheat diets once in a while but don't make it a daily routine.
Incorporate more of 'Greens' in your diet and less of fatty foods. Life is good when you eat well. Like they say, 'An Apple a day keeps the doctor away' likewise a balanced diet will keep health problems at bay!
9. Treasure your Treasures –
Splurge is fun, but saving should be the way of living. Plan with your future in mind. Relax the grip once in a while for that blissful indulgence. Also, too much of saving and scrimping for your future may put a halt on your present. Live today while awaiting tomorrow and you will have a life well lived!
10. Adopt a Pet –
The devotion, love and loyalty of a pet can never be matched. That warmth of a pet is an incomparable ability that lack in humans. Selfless love of a pet will make you love life more. Feel the bliss by giving one a home. After a hard day's work come home to an anticipating and restless being awaiting your return.
